About
Dr. Christopher Ciampoli is a violinist, pianist, and composer. He combines world-class artistry with a deeply intuitive, emotionally-attuned approach to teaching. Every student relationship is personal, expressive, and grounded in curiosity.
Dr. Chris’s path into teaching grew naturally out of performing and composing. Over time, he became increasingly sensitive of how to discover deeper meaning and longer-lasting understanding: how sound, imagination, emotion, and understanding develop together over years. His work today helps students build not only technical skill, but meaningful, sustainable relationships with music and life.
His private studio includes students of many ages and levels, from beginners discovering music for the first time to advanced students seeking profound depth and artistic growth. While each student’s goals are different, the work is always centered on awareness, sensitivity, and curiosity.
In addition to his private studio, Dr. Chris holds teaching positions at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University and Towson University. He holds a doctorate in music from the Peabody Institute and remains actively engaged as a performer, composer, and educator.
