Lessons

Private lessons are the center of my teaching practice. Whether a student is just beginning or has years of experience, lessons are designed to support deep, sustainable artistic and intellectual growth.

  • I teach violin, piano, and composition.

  • My studio includes students of many ages and levels, from beginners to advanced students seeking depth and long-term growth.

  • My teaching is shaped by sensitive listening and careful emotional attunement to how each student learns over time. Rather than following a fixed method, my lessons focus on developing awareness and understanding in a way that feels sustainable and personal.

I place a strong emphasis on tone, imagination, and physical ease. I create an environment where students feel supported rather than pressured. Progress grows most naturally when students are encouraged to remain curious, take risks, and build confidence from within.

  • I teach both in person from my private studio in Towson, Maryland, and online, depending on a student’s needs and location. We can discuss what format makes the most sense during an initial conversation.

  • You’re invited to use the contact form. We’ll begin with a brief conversation to see whether my studio is a good fit for your goals

What lessons focus on

While each student’s path is different, lessons commonly explore:

  • Sound production, tone color, and physical ease

  • Technique as a means of expression rather than an end in itself

  • Listening skills and musical awareness

  • Interpretation, imagination, and musical decision-making

  • Confidence, curiosity, and long-term humanistic growth
